Hey good human,
This week we gather around to discuss some big human experiences: complex family dynamics, addiction, shame, death and the hard-earned wisdom that comes from living for seventy-three years. All in under 11 minutes.
This conversation feels like a private confession booth.
The journey and reality of modern-day addiction. The way shame has a way of lingering inside of us, the load only lightened through sharing our inner truths in safe spaces. The reminder to love more. Surprise, delight, sadness and laughter - all layered with life reminders to not give too many f*cks.
RE-FLECTIONS….
I love this creative storytelling project so much! On a full spectrum journey.
There are always stories behind the ‘hunting of the stories’. A mature-aged lady compliments my shoes, I ask her if she is up for a chat and we go deep for ten minutes. At the very end, you hear her ask me ‘What's your first name darling?’.
I laugh listening back on this moment. What a gift - her safety in sharing without even knowing my name.
‘We got her clean’. These story vignettes are very lightly edited to retain truthful accounts. My intention is not to filter or edit the honesty of their individual human experience. Each to their own. All guests are given the choice to remain anonymous.
Thank you for being part of this community that listens, learns, and values life experience wisdom.
Every action you take today helps us keep these important conversations going.
Take care and take risk,
Nim
